    OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

    We are seeking a dynamic Legal and Administrative Assistant with exceptional administrative and organizational skills who is comfortable under pressure in a fast-paced environment to assist the company’s general counsel and the company’s executive team. To ensure success, you should be detail oriented, exercise sound judgement and must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen interest in providing purposeful support to our corporate attorney and owners. Top candidates must be familiar with legal principles, possess strong documentation skills, show attention to detail and possess organizational skills.

    **This position is currently part time**

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Legal Assistant Duties: 50% time

    • Compile, proofread and revise drafts of legal documents and reports
    • Assist with responding to discovery requests for litigation matters
    • Daily record keeping with electronic and hard copy filing of documents
    • Obtain relevant information from other organizations and owners
    • Prepare and format legal and management reports
    • Maintain and update databases and tracking systems
    • Prepare letters and document using Microsoft Office and Google platform software
    • Translate verbal communication into written documentation
    • Respond to case-related inquiries

    Administrative Assistant Duties: 50% time

    • Schedule, organize and coordinate meetings and events
    • Assist colleagues with projects and timelines
    • Respond professionally to internal and external phone calls
    • Ensure efficient and effective administrative information and assistance
    • Assist front desk receptionist when needed
    • Copying and filing

    Qualifications

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

    • Good word processing skills using Microsoft office and Google platform
    • Systematic knowledge of databases and tracking systems
    • Solid understanding of English grammar and punctuation
    • Good organizational skills
    • Experience working with executive level leader experience

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Education: HS diploma, paralegal certificate helpful

    Experience Prefer 2+ years of current experience as an assistance or secretary in a legal environment
