Position Summary

The University of New Mexico's Athletics Marketing Department seeks an Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Revenue Generation to oversee football marketing and game day operations along with oversight of marketing staff of other sports.

Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Reporting to the Associate AD for Marketing and Communications, serveas the leader of the UNM marketing department, overseeing the staff on thecreation and implementation of marketing plans and gameday "run of show" fortheir respective sports.
  • Directly responsible for the creation of detailed marketing/promotionplan for football with an aggressive focus on improving attendance and revenueas well as the gameday experience for Lobo fans.
  • Creates scripts and "run of show" for game day operations forfootball. Plays a role in the creation of scripts for other sports.
  • Oversees marketing budget and maintaining media contracts for the UNMAthletics marketing department.
  • Serves as UNM Athletics marketing liaison to the university.
  • Designs andimplements marketing collateral, working with the Associate Athletic Director andDirector of Social Media/Ideation on the overall brand for UNM Athletics.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in related field
  • Experience with design software (Photoshop) preferred, and video editing experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated public speaking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population of colleagues, co-workers, and constituents
  • Strong computer background (i.e powerpoint, InDesign, photo shop, etc)
  • Established experience with annual goal setting with successful completion
