Position Summary

The Anderson School of Management is seeking a self-motivated and creative individual to provide administrative support to faculty, staff, students, and visitors of the Department. The position is the primary support to the department Chair. Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

1) Search coordinator for department full-time and part-time faculty hiring which includes submitting required paperwork in UNMJobs;

2) Coordinating and/or entering data in Sedona database for faculty annual reviews, office hours, etc.

3) Coordinate department travel, purchasing and reimbursements in Chrome River and Lobomart;

4) Assist Department Chair with semester course scheduling;

5) Order textbooks for faculty and contact book reps;

6) Assist in routine student advisement and problem solving;

7) Schedule meeting and activities for the department including minute-taking

8) Process all curriculum forms as required by Dept.

9) Manage the daily administrative operations of the department.

Conditions of Employment
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and/or experience using UNMJobs for faculty hiring
  • Knowledge and/or experience using Banner, Chrome River, and Lobomart for reimbursements and purchasing.
  • Experience using excel to create spreadsheets,reports, etc.
  • Experience in taking and writing up meeting minutes.
  • Experience in using a UNM P-card for purchases
