Position Summary

Department of Neurology is seeking a motivated, dynamic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant 2, the successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative and staff support duties which will require a range of skills and a knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. This position assists and directs visitors, and resolves administrative problems and inquiries; composes, edits, and proofreads correspondence and reports, and prepares a range of administrative documents. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) with a strong customer service approach.

This position ensures reception needs for Domenici Hall, a complex building housing multiple research programs, spanning multiple departments, and shared space with Mind Research Network, so punctuality and reliability are critical to this position.

Conditions of Employment
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating meetings
  • Experience with Powerchart or EMR System
  • Expericence with P-Card/Lobomart transactions and inventory tracking
  • Experience working in a Clinical/Research setting
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork & problem-solving skills.
