Job Description

Graybill, today we're the region's largest Independent Multi-specialty Medical Group. Our capacity to provide for our patients through the full range of care continues as we look to fill the following position:

The Medical Records Clerk must have the ability to recognize various medical records documents. Organize paper files/charts/loose documents/radiological scans and prepare all for scanning. Scan a variety of medical documents and film into the electronic medical records system (NextGen) and then file the information accordingly. The incumbent must also recognize and understand which documents can be destroyed after scanning and which documents must be retained. Answer phones and give correct information about outgoing medical records. Deliver incoming faxes to appropriate staff.

Skill / Requirements

Prior medical records experience and/or the ability to recognize various radiological scans and the associated documents is highly preferred. Must have strong computer skills, high attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks, be HIPAA compliant, and have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and access to a reliable vehicle for transporting files from storage as needed. Incumbent should be able to lift up to 30lb boxes. Punctuality, responsibility, good organization, logical thinking and listening skills are critical for success in this position.
