Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for collaborating with families, teachers, instructional leaders and Tribal and State Social Service providers to develop and implement appropriate support for Seminole Tribe of Florida's Preschool students and families in need, placed under temporary or long term protection of social services. The individual develops, writes and revises manuals to support training structure for targeted population, and provides technical assistance for teachers and parents regarding child development, family support and classroom management. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or School Counseling is required. Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of school counseling experience, which includes addressing the developmental needs of students or experience working with school-age children in an educational environment is required. Demonstrated stress management skills required. Ability to deliver a comprehensive, school counseling program that encourages all students' academic and personal/social development is required. Demonstrate ability to deliver a comprehensive Preschool Program, providing high quality instruction matched to an individual student's need. Demonstrate computer literacy in Microsoft Office software programs. Demonstrate excellent English written and verbal skills. Incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and travel to all Seminole Reservations. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
