Summary:
Manages daily business processes for surgical services inventory. Controls procurement revenue, charges and compliance management. Regulates vendors.

Implements and monitors ongoing quality improvement indicators and utilizes process improvement methods to ensure both areas consistently meet the needs of the organization

Responsibilities

*Maintenance of policies and procedures, participation in quality initiatives and committees, continuous process improvement and adherence to regulatory environment requirements.

*Purchase and consumption of all supplies.

*Stock and unstock inventory

*Capture of current accurate charges.

*Expedites the repair and or replacement of damaged surgical instruments and equipment

*Receiving, distribution, shipping and product evaluation.

*Identification and disposition of obsolete inventory

Collaborates with the ASC leadership and staff to assist with maintenance of physician preference cards, purchase orders, vendor files, requisitions and statistical reports.

*Maintains purchasing/inventory control processes for supplies, equipment and services.

*Coordinates and responds to inquiries and requests as needed regarding financial statistics, billing and charging.

*Leads and assists in building successful partnerships with vendors.

*Communicates and demonstrates to staff the organizational vision, values, strategies, and objectives along with policies, procedures and developments.

* Customer Service to include the identification of the needs and expectations of internal and external customers. Maintains effective communication with customers. Manages customer related policies and procedures to support patient care demand for services and in support of the regulatory environment.

*Consults with infection control for management of sterile processes at the ASC.

Qualifications

One to two years experience with procurement, financial management, budget management and revenue processes associated with supply chain management and charge capture. Three years progressive experience with Windows based applications, Word, Excel Access, etc. required. Experience with process improvement methods or quality initiatives preferred. Valid New Mexico driver s license

Education:
High School Diploma or GED
