Manages all activities on Mainstreet. Is responsible for ensuring that all visitors through Mainstreet are greeted in a professional manner, perform service recovery by being a point of contact for customer concerns, provides directions to their Presbyterian Hospital destination, and are informed of services, policies, and information in order to make their visit to the Presbyterian Hospital campus a positive experience.


*Manages the first 5 minutes experience that our customers encounter upon entering Presbyterian Hospital.

*Manages all activities on Mainstreet including but not limited to volunteers, ATM machine, newspapers, museum, and housekeeping/maintenance needs.

*Develops, maintains, and utilizes a daily checklist for the Mainstreet area to ensure cleanliness, appeal, and operational function.

Manages indirectly the activities of the Volunteer staff assigned to the Main Lobby at Presbyterian Hospital. Performs customer training in-services to all new volunteer staff at the Main Lobby desk.

*Ensures direction assistance is provided to visitors through Mainstreet to the desired PH destination.

*Educates visitors on the services available on the Presbyterian Hospital Campus through Mainstreet and rounding programs such as the Medicare Fee-for-Service Rounding on the Skilled Nursing Units

Performs other service quality activities such as Internet card delivery, informational packet delivery (i.e.: Medicare FFS packets to Skilled Nursing patients).

*Provides information as needed from a community perspective to out-of -town visitors.

*Responsible for complaint management program, which includes tracking, monitoring, and reporting visitor complaints through appropriate service recovery mechanism.

*Provides coverage to the Advocate System (complaint management process) during vacations, sick, etc.

*Enforces Presbyterian policies to visitors and coordinates issues that arise with Security personnel.


2-3 years of college level courses and training in customer service. One to three years relevant work experience in a healthcare field or customer service experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person to the public. Must be able to work cooperatively with other employees. Bilingual Preferred

Essential: * High School Diploma or GED

* SKILL-Ability to effectively interact with customers to understand their needs and explain data
* SKILL-Microsoft Office
* SKILL-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person and via telephone with members, employer groups, brokers, physicians, and physician office staff using strong dialogue and customer service competencies.
