STARTING SALARY: $43,000 - $50,000/year

POSITION SUMMARY: Project coordinator to assist in the coordination, tracking, and management of Child and Family projects at the Mental Health Center of Denver under the direction of the Director of Clinical Operations and Community Engagement. This position will also help coordinate and administratively support operations and projects across all sites in the Child and Family Department. This position will work in concert with the Associate Director of Dahlia Operations for Dahlia Campus for Health and Wellbeing specific projects and events.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate projects and events within Child and Family Department.
  • Support the Director of Clinical Operations and Community Engagement and the Associate Director of Dahlia Operations with scheduling and administrative tasks.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and attend meetings with project team members, vendor representatives, community partners, and MHCD departments.
  • Develop strategies to see projects to completion, including:
    • create agendas, take minutes and distribute them accordingly,
    • assisting in project planning,
    • completing project summaries, tracking tasks, timelines and outcomes,
    • coordinate with other departments within the organization.
  • Track progress and quality of work being performed, including barriers, enhancements, tasks/action items, and change orders.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Successfully engage in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations and Community Engagement for Child and Family and Associate Director of Dahlia Operations.
  • Support and manage annual audits of resources/space (ie. badge access, keys, and storage for internal and external staff) for the Child and Family Services.
  • Track deadlines and important dates related to contracts, grants, and licenses.
  • Coordinate and track timelines for capital projects.
  • Effectively communicate project status, impact and deadlines to internal staff and internal partners.
  • Submit and track facilities requests for the Child and Family locations.
  • Support the ongoing Dahlia Community Advisory Board
  • Support Director and Associate Director with scheduling, coordination and other administrative duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required; Project Management, Project Coordinator, or Behavioral Healthcare-related discipline preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Two or more years of experience as an administrator/operations and/or project coordinator, preferable within behavioral health services or healthcare related field.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist in a variety of tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to handle tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate with and assist a diverse population of clientele; (including seniors; mentally, emotionally and physically disabled individuals and individuals from various backgrounds).
  • Customer-service oriented with a genuine desire to assist clientele.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and basic office equipment, business English and mathematics.
  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written material and articulate goals and action plans.
  • Have the ability to maintain efficiency and accuracy under pressure of deadlines and numerous interruptions throughout the workday.
  • Self-starter and possess organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to represent the agency in a favorable light at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills, knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and word definitions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Planner, and OneNote.
  • Adaptability for learning new software or methods for project tracking and management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening or weekend hours. Local driving required.
