Job Profile

The Provider Data Coordinator is responsible for providing timely support to Claims Department to ensure claims that require departmental assistance is handle appropriately. Responsible for the coordination of data entry for the Provider Database. Responsible for applying departmental policy and procedures for Tax Identification Numbers to Provider Database maintenance. Responsible for providing support to assist in utilizing exception reports to improve and maintain the Provider Database. Responsible for preparing Provider Database(s) for directory production. Responsible for assisting in departmental special projects as it relates to Provider Database maintenance.


  • High School Graduation or GED required.
  • Three years working with databases, proficiency with Excel, or Access preferable.
  • One year of experience and familiarity with medical coding.


  • Communication: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)
  • Writing /Composing, Correspondence /Reports
  • Analytical, Mathematics, Medical Terms,
  • MS Word, MS Excel
  • Diligent, accurate data entry, well organized, attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with medical coding.
