Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a highly qualified individual to fill the role of PLM Administrator. The PLM Administrator must be proficient with the PLM and PDM systems; knowledgeable about integrated systems like MES, ERP, and office productivity suites; and able to convey the intricacies of PLM to the uninitiated.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Administers the document management system: users, roles, access control lists, business models, data models, and license management.
  • Analyzes and maintains PLM system performance.
  • Audits business processes to ensure accurate and efficient workflows.
  • Trains and supports users of PLM system. Creates training curriculum and certification requirements.
  • Integrates CAD, non-CAD, and PLM data, validating and verifying data integrity.
  • Audits files and metadata to ensure data integrity.
  • Performs database troubleshooting. Works with IT department and vendor support to resolve technical issues with software.
  • Ensures that processes and procedures are in compliance with industry standards.
  • Manages data archiving, purges old records, and preserves documentation suitable for LOTAR.
  • Researches state-of-the-art tools, advises on the purchase of tools, and implements tools to improve efficiency and productivity of PLM users.
  • Advises on software tools to improve productivity or fill gaps within role as PLM Administrator.
  • Participates with the development and maintenance of operating procedures and best practices. Authors company standards, procedures, best-practices guides, and reference manuals.
  • Enforces classification and categorization of documents to adhere to ITAR/EAR, DoD, FAR, and BATF requirements.
  • Imports and exports data from system to support 3rd party data exchange in compliance with all regulations and procedures.
  • Prepares configuration status accounting reports and other traceability records.
  • Champions Configuration Management II theory through certification. Leads CM2 implementation through example by daily practice of the CM2 model and application in workflows.


Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):
  • Skills:

    • Teamcenter configuration and customization for BMIDE, Deployment Center, Active Workspace.
    • Teamcenter infrastructure architecture knowledge and experience.
    • CM2 certification, preferred.
    • Process management.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical reports.
    • Proficient with MS Office.
    • Familiar with engineering design tools: Solid Edge, ANSYS, MathCAD, etc.
    • Knowledge of shell scripting, Visual Studio, SQL, Java, J2EE, Oracle, XML, etc.
    • Ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticality.
    • Self-starter with ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.

    Experience & Education:

    • At least 5 years of relevant experience
    • 4-year College/university degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or similar program.
    • Strong knowledge of Teamcenter products (Unified Architecture V11, SOA, etc.)
    • Administration experience in a Windows environment
    • Experience with configuration and workflow management
    • Proficiency with BMIDE template admin, TEM, Deployment Center, AWS, JBoss
